    I loved this piece! I know that feeling Sam describes. I’m a fair-skinned Irish girl from Upstate New York. Most would not expect me to speak Spanish, but I do! I began my studies in middle school, continued through high school and college, then went on to live and work in Madrid, Spain post-grad, prior to returning to Albany, NY and joining Alloya. I have enjoyed many experiences of bridging the language barrier through my unexpected foreign language skills, and I look forward to an upcoming opportunity in which I will do just that on behalf of Alloya for Puerto Rican credit unions!
